Last summer, just toward the end, I managed to squeeze in a couple of days in Prague with my friend Synne. We stayed at a wonderful Airbnb a little outside of the town center, but close enough for us to walk everywhere. As soon as we walked into the apartment, after climbing up several flights of dingy stairs, we were met with the airiest and lightest space I think I’ve stayed. The big windows and white walls immediately called for a huge breakfast spread, which is exactly what we planned and executed, raiding one of the strangest little supermarket I have experienced.
(Yes, these photos are from last August, and yes this is how long it has taken me to go through and edit a couple of them..)
Synne! The best travel companion for all the reasons. We both carry our cameras around constantly, are always ready for coffee and are willing to walk another one, two or three miles to get to the perfect restaurant.
One of the better meals of my life at Mistral Cafe. Barley risotto with Brussels Sprouts, carrots and grilled tempeh.
How gorgeous and cinematic is this city?? I had heard great things, but somehow could never have imagined how much I would love staying here. Any city that is made to walk gains an instant spot in my heart. Add some gorgeous architecture, beautiful art and good beer and I am sold!
Thank goodness for affordable European airlines, Airbnb and people who are willing to explore new areas with me.
